Everybody Complains About The Weather But...

We got some value out of my digital camera today. A mid-morning shot from my classroom window decorated two posts about today's weather and how it makes people feel.

Weather small-talk makes wonderful content for a post. The topic also has obvious overlaps with reading calendars and thermometers, or looking at weather reports online or in the newspaper. It can be a stepping off point for 'science' or 'social studies' learning - though, today, my learners were content to post.

And, of course, blogging always archives learner writings in a way that makes them accessible for later reproduction in a learning-assessment portfolio or for use in cloze exercises, crossword puzzles and so on.
