Building a Web Community

I've been posting a bit more 'news' lately. Not sure why, exactly - except the obvious desire to celebrate International Literacy Day in the face of my local media's near-silent mumblings on the matter.

It's not as satisfying. Easy, but not a 'real' post. And not reflective of - or on - my own practice. You can find literacy news in other places, of course. There's NALD (National Adult Literacy Database), the Literacies Café, and the AlphaPlus blog.

This last has a survey form for readers to request more posts of a certain kind - a touch of web 2.0. What they need are more readers / voters.

So do it. Go read and vote.

And then come right back here.
