Reading the lifehacker blog, I came across an introduction (from a year ago, but nevermind) to Foxit Software's Foxit PDF Reader. I had no idea PDF files could open so fast! Suddenly, they're springing open on my Win98 system.
Mind you, there's still a lag when I'm opening them online - even Foxit can't solve that whole time-space dial-up problem.
But I'm so pleased to have an onboard reader that works fast and well.
Oh, yeah... and it's free!
