Wet, Warm Winters - Blah!

After our first serious snowfall, the weather warmed, and took a turn for the worse. Here's a forecast from the first of the week:

Rain. Amount 10 to 15 mm. Fog patches. Wind southeast 50 km/h gusting to 70 diminishing to 20 gusting to 40 this afternoon. High 9. Rain ending near midnight then cloudy periods. Amount 5 to 10 mm. Fog patches. Low minus 3.

The bad news is they were completely accurate.

Is it true that warm winter weather makes us sick? I don't know, but I seem to have a lot of sick learners this week. The classrooms echo with coughing. A few learners were silly enough to get flu shots, and are now paying for it with high fevers.

Not a great start to the winter, but December is almost here. Maybe things will get cold and hard and healthy again soon.
